Eeneman has a long and fruitful co-operation with Metropolia University. We worked as partners in the AI4Cities Horizon 2020 pre-commercial procurement programme.
We have integrated BEE with the Energylab/Smartlab, providing three types of energy management services based on control by spot price, renewables availability or weather forecast. The implementation includes a comprehensive dashboard in the Smartlab.
People counting in production
Eeneman’s smart, camera-based people counting solution is in production on the campus. The university uses the data in its daily services:
- Parking — students can see where parking places are available before they arrive.
- Restaurants — real-time occupancy of the university restaurants helps students pick the least crowded place and time to eat.
Privacy is built in: the video is processed inside the camera and only counts leave the device — no images are stored or transferred.
The partners are also planning a comprehensive reporting solution combining energy management, indoor air quality and presence data.
