We deliver a camera-based people counting solution as part of BEE or as an independent solution.
For privacy and security reasons, the video feed is processed inside the camera and the output contains only counting data. No images ever leave the device.
In production at Metropolia
At Metropolia University of Applied Sciences the solution is in daily use. The occupancy data helps students find free parking places and see how busy the university restaurants are in real time.
How the data is used
Occupancy data is shown in dashboards and can be used by BEE to adjust ventilation and heating to actual use. BEE can also estimate occupancy from CO₂ levels, protecting residents’ privacy even further.
