Controllable loads can be integrated into the energy flexibility market. BEE supports the demand-response service Frequency Containment Reserve – Normal (FCR-N), where controllable loads are used to balance the frequency of the national grid.
You stay in control: the customer decides how much of the load is offered to the service, and receives compensation for the flexibility provided.
How it works
- BEE identifies which loads in your building are flexible — e.g. heating, ventilation, water heating, EV charging or lighting.
- Together with our balance-responsible and virtual power plant partners, the flexible capacity is offered to the reserve market.
- When the grid frequency deviates, loads are adjusted for short periods — without affecting comfort.
